Kings Cup Rules....

The other night we all went over to Kaitlin's place (Paul's Fiancee) to hang out and meet one of her best friends from college. I got freakin sucked in to Kortney & Khole Do Miami (Erin S.'s fault- completely) while everyone else played a friendly (haha) game of Kings Cup (a card game). I am not sure who it was, but one of the girls (I believe) was the King (???- Dear god I really don't know what I am talking about!). Anyway they got to make a "Rule" and the rule was the last person out had to wear a Tecate Beer Box on their head for the whole turn or until someone else was the last person out (Erin is this game actually called A$$ hole?). So the box went around the table, but I think that Erin S wore it the most...and did we hear about it! I was in the other room and I could hear her frustrated outbursts! hahahaha!!!! The Drive to Costa Mesa- WOOt wOOt!

This will be a four or so part blog. So check back each day for a new event from the weekend since that is the only time I can seem to do anything interesting and I HAVE to go to W-O-R-K during the week!

Kaitlin, Kristy (her cousin), Erin S. and I all headed down to a weekend in Costa Mesa spent with Kaitlin's family! We were sooo stoked to go down there that instead of leaving Friday morning we took off after work on Thursday. Our 6:30 departure turned into 7:00...turned in to 8:00... OH WELL! Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow and we were in NO hurry! We made sure to stop off at In-N-Out and get a new found "secret menu" item thanks to Kristi- Double Cooked Fries....talk about a grease bath, but the grils loved them- animal style and all! I had of course the plainest of plain fries and cheesburger! Yum!

We headed out of In N Out about 9:00 and made the long drive down to Costa Mesa in about 5 hours! Woo Hoo! We got in at 2AM to a very welcoming Uncle JD! What a sweet heart he was. He came out and greeted us at our car... I am just glad he found us in the car and not in the middle of the cul-de-sac.....but that is another story......

Donner Party....Family Reunion!

So You FINALLY Get to Here about our trip to Donner Lake! How excited are you?!! HAHA I know not really at all...hahah!

Aaron's family was celebrating his Grandfathers 80-Something birthday and decided to make a full family reunion out of it! We had such a blast! Our immediate family (Aaron's parents, siblings and significant others) all went in on a cabin so we could make the most of the weekend. We stayed 3 blocks from the lake and were able to walk back and forth super easily! I would say that there was a pretty great turnout- all in all I think we were missing about 6 direct family members- that is not bad for this EXPANSIVE family! We spent the day at the West End Beach and played Volleyball (yeah right-I didn't, the rest of them did!), Tennis, swam, ate and Erin S. Kaitlin and I (yes we are all GREAT friends AND SOOOOO Close to being ALL family!!!) took out the Challenger 2000....a rubber boat and cruised the lake with a Corona in hand for about an hour. Erin S. was nervous that we weren't going to make it back to shore, but with my direction and her and Kaitlin's paddling we were VERY successful!

We had such a good time with the family and friends. I got to meet some of Aaron's cousins that I had never met before which was fantastic! Of course I got harrassed about "when are you going to have a baby!!" , but I cooly shrugged them off saying "LAY OFF ME! GEEEEZ!" Hahaha Ok I wasn't that harsh, but it was close with a good laugh at the end...EVERY time!

I am so excited for the next family gathering and to get to spend more time with my new family, and now friends!
